Jean Reagan (on the right) and Lora Koehler are picture book writers living in Salt Lake City, at the base of the beautiful Wasatch Mountains. They came up with the idea of a picture book marathon and "ran" their first one in September 2008.
Jean's first picture book, Always My Brother, was published in 2009 by Tilbury House. How to Babysit a Grandpa will be published by Knopf in May 2012.
Lora is a children's librarian whose published work includes the book Internet (Children's Press) and numerous news and magazine articles.
The next marathon begins February 1, 2012, with training starting in mid January. To sign up, email writers(at)picturebookmarathon.org.
